This program will examine the current and evolving treatment strategies for T2DM through presentation and discussion of emerging evidence. We will explore novel concepts with the oral incretin-based therapies and the unique challenges today's pharmacists face when tailoring a therapeutic regimen to their patient's needs. We will help clinicians identify barriers to goal achievement, including issues of patient adherence and their effect on T2DM outcomes. The program will utilize case studies to apply the key concepts and create an understanding of incretin-based therapy and its clinical effectiveness and place in T2DM.
